Savannah & Angel | Intimate Winter Wedding | White House, Tennessee

The week before Savannah and Angel’s wedding was full of super cold days. Plenty of prayers were being sent up for an unusually warm day for their date, especially since the ceremony was being held outdoors. We watched and watched the weather, and everyone was excited when their wedding date weather prediction slipped into the 7 day forecast as being warmer than usual.

So, on a sunny winter day, we headed to our last wedding of 2017!! Angel and Savannah were champs. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a couple SO dedicated to getting outdoor, natural light portraits!! Because they chose to do a first look, we had the opportunity to get bride and groom pictures several different places at several different times. Those are always the most important pictures from a wedding and the ones that they will show their children one day.

The day went perfectly! Their few guest wedding was intimate and elegant. The campground which they love so much was the perfect setting for their “I dos.” The trunk full of cozy blankets was the perfect touch to keep their guests warm while witnessing this sweet moment. Happy tears were shed and smiles grew bigger as they were pronounced, "husband and wife." Afterwards, we headed to reception, held at the school where they met, for hot cocoa and cake (yay!) and, of course, dancing! The entire day we could feel the joy and love that everyone felt for these two. Everywhere I turned to take a picture, I would always see people smiling and laughing, truly proud of and excited for the new life Savannah and Angel were starting together.

We have the privilege of working with the sweetest couples and these two are no exception! Savannah and Angel have a special place in our hearts as we felt like we were able to watch them from those first meeting days (including when I photographed their first prom date!) to the days they fell in love.
