Maverick & Family | 1 Year Session and Cake Smash | White House, TN

After spending a year capturing the milestones and changes in a sweet little one, their one year session is always a bitter sweet moment for me! I know I won't get to play with them {chase them down}, make them giggle, or see how much they have changed every 3-4 months anymore. But, I know that they are growing into kind and wonderful young ones and it makes me happy to have been a small part of their first year. Plus, many of them I still get to see for yearly pictures!

Maverick was such a joy to work with over this past year. This boy always had a smile and big round cheeks to greet me...and he cracked up at all my "jokes" and silly faces. A little before his one year session, he learned to walk...no, RUN! He was a fast little man, zipping around the path and grass during his session. We both got our exercise!

I think that is the best way to capture a childhood though, just letting them be who they are. Ten years from now I hope his mom will be showing him these pictures and saying, "You were so full of life and love!"

We were also able to get in a few family portraits. What a sweet, beautiful family! I am thankful to call them friends. Zach and Megan, I hope you enjoy the photos of your sweet little man and family.
