Amy & Brett

Fair warning before you keep reading any further: prepare for photo overload!

I had SUCH a hard time narrowing down the images for this post that I needed extra time just to get it ready. And even when I tried to narrow things down even more, I STILL ended up with one of the biggest blog posts I’ve probably ever put together! But when you see these photos, I think you’ll understand.

As Jesse and I pulled into the venue, rainclouds filled the sky and a little drizzle fell on our heads. Though the drizzle occasional let up, the skies decided to let it pour too (rain on your wedding day is good luck by the way!). But Amy and Brett didn't let the weather rain on their parade or portraits, they both brightened the rainy day with their love and joy.

THEY BOTH BRIGHTENED THE RAINY DAY WITH THEIR LOVE AND JOY

Amy and Brett are two of the sweetest, most fun people. They both are so caring too. From the moment I sat down to meet them, I knew they were going to be a special couple, and after their engagement session, all my suspicions were confirmed.

We’d been looking forward to their wedding for quite some time, especially because it was our very first wedding at The Cedars of Lebanon, which is a gorgeous 900 acre park filled with cozy and romantic trees. Amy and Brett were such amazing sports about hiking through the soggy ground, and didn’t even flinch when we asked them if they’d be up for the challenge. On a day that was supposed to be all about them, they spent their day caring about everyone else, making us and everyone around them feel so loved and appreciated, while enjoying every. single. second. of. it.

Amy and Brett, thank you for reminding Jess and I why we feel so blessed to get to do what we do. It’s couples like you that make this the best job in the world. I hope your portraits bring back the sweet memories from your special day!
